Micellar waters have been sweeping the beauty world recently, but I’ve never actually got around to trying one. When I saw this for £3.33, I thought ‘Why not?’ I don’t have an impressive skincare routine whatsoever, and when it comes to taking off my make up, I’m guilty of opting for make up wipes a lot of the time. There really is nothing worse than oily make-up removers that smudge your mascara all over your face, and let’s be honest, make up wipes are just so much less effort. My skin is quite sensitive and tends to get irritated and blotchy from most make up removers. I’ve been searching for one that I can get along with, but no products have come to the rescue. I tend to go for a simple products that are quick, easy and most importantly, minimal effort; and this ticks all those boxes.
I can now say goodbye to sore skin and morning panda eyes! This is a god send for every lazy girl’s skincare routine. A make-up remover, cleanser and toner all in one bottle just sounded too good to be true, but L’Oreal have really exceeded my expectations.
After applying a small amount of the solution to a cotton pad and holding it over my eyelid for 30 seconds or so, I was seriously impressed to see that it was even capable of removing Benefit’s ‘They’re Real’ waterproof mascara which is usually impossible to budge. Rather than rubbing even more grime all over your face with a make up wipe, the solution literally dissolves your make up, and claims to be a magnet that draws out impurities and unclogs pores. It’s perfect if you’re on the go or have to be up early in the morning, but I’m not sure whether to trust this as the cleansing step in my routine and have been opting for a double cleanse at nighttime.
Overall, the product is incredibly effective in removing my make-up and leaves my skin feeling clean, clear and fresh. This will definitely become one of my skincare staples and for £3.33 for 200ml, it’s amazing value. I’m definitely converted to micellar waters.
Have you used this or any micellar waters? Would you try it?
