Deep Conditioning Treatment | Redken Extreme Strength Builder Mask
Without exaggeration, if there is a deep conditioning treatment out on the market, I have probably tried it. I’ve grown up with my mum using Redken and have developed a huge amount of trust with the brand. I don’t mind splashing out because I know that they’re Salon quality products and some of the best out there. This treatment transforms my hair with every use and I always use it at once a week.
Finishing Oil | Schwarzkopf Bonacure Oil (*)
I don’t want to talk too much about this as I have a blog post coming up soon dedicated to it. I was recently lucky enough to win Kayleigh over at Couture Girl’s giveaway with Schwarzkopf. I only received this a few weeks ago but it has seriously impressed me and vanquished over my array of other oils and serums. You only need a tiny amount and apply it to the ends of your hair which is then transformed from dry and brittle to glossy.
Texture Spray | Toni & Guy Sea Salt Spray
Again, another product which I will be blogging about soon. For anyone who doesn’t have the £££ for Bumble & Bumble this is a great alternative at just £2.19! It adds that much needed ‘oomph’ to your hair.
Protein Treatment | Redken Extreme Cat Strengthening Hairspray
This is a product which I’ve been going back to for a few years now. It’s an incredibly intensive protein treatment which you spray onto your hair when towel dried. If you use it too often it does take the moisture out of your hair, so I only use it every few washes. If you want to see its full effects, leave it on over night in a shower cap. This was a saviour when my hair broke off due to bleaching and a product I could not live without.
Brush | Tangle Teezer
An obvious choice but I couldn’t devote a section of this post to haircare without mentioning the tangle teezer. I wish somebody had pointed me in the direction of one about two years ago when I was at the height of back combing and going for crazy hippy lady Stevie Nicks vibes. The texture of my hair is uncontrollable, no amount of intensive products will stop it from matting during the day. Getting a brush through it after showering used to a nightmare until this came along and saved the day. I haven’t used a hairbrush since.
