L-R: Gleam, All That Glitters, Woodwinked, Satin Taupe
I’ve been lusting after a MAC palette for such a long time… So when my incredibly lovely boyfriend’s parents got me a Selfridges gift card for Christmas, it was pretty obvious what I was going to pick out! I’ve been using my trusty Urban Decay Naked palettes for a solid two years now and it just felt like it was time to branch out into the MAC world. I picked these shades after a lot of beauty blog reading and concluding these as must have shades. You might notice that I went for all shimmery shadows. I’m definitely all about glitter and seeing as I have all the staple matte shades in my palettes they just didn’t feel worth the money. Maybe I’m wrong? I am planning on building up a Pro Palette so if there are any matte shades you would recommend, let me know!
Top Left – Gleam (Lustre)
A champagne pink with a barely-there gold undertone, perfect for accentuating the inner corners and blending out for minimal make up days.
Top Right – All That Glitters (Veluxe Pearl)
My A/W eyeshadow of choice. An easy all over the lid colour which blends into a two-tonal muted beige with gold shimmer running through it.
Bottom Left – Woodwinked (Veluxe Pearl)
An antique bronze that looks amazing blended in the outer corners and does something seriously special for blue eyes.
Bottom Right – Satin Taupe (Frost)
A taupe shade with a frosty silver shimmer. I go to this on nights out for the perfect smoked out eye.
What do you think of this quad? Are there any shades you’d recommend for building up a palette? What are your favourites?
