The Weekend Beauty Bag

Tonight I’m off to stay in Blackpool and then heading off to Manchester on Saturday! I love last minute weekend away plans. I’ve had to throw together a last minute over night bag so thought I’d take a few quick photos to show you what I’m lugging along with me tonight!

First up is my Betsey Johnson cosmetics bag. It’s another one of my New York purchases which I think I’ll be carrying around with me for the rest of my life. I got it in Beacon’s Closet Thrift Store for $6 and it just has to be one of the best things I brought home. I love the lightning bold detail and the signature “Betseyville” inscription on the front. You can rarely get Betsey items here in the UK unless you have a lucky day in TKMaxx so I just love this little bag. It has two compartments so I can keep all of my leaky items in the bottom and stuff all my make up in the top!

I’m breaking all of the beauty blogger rules here but if I rarely feel like lugging around all of my skincare for one or two nights. The one product that always I never leave without is my L’Oreal Micellar Water. I personally wouldn’t say that this does the full cleansing job by any means but it definitely gets my vote for the lazy factor.

My skincare saviour lately has been the Origins Drink Up Intensive Mask. I really cannot sing the praises of this mask enough. After a night out I smother my face in a thick layer of this and wake up hangover skin free! It’s perfect for Sunday night pampers and smells like a holiday in a bottle. Another Origins item I couldn’t live without is my Gin Zing Moisturiser which I use everyday without fail. It’s a firm favourite in the blogosphere and definitely deserves its status!

The only hair product I rely on is a serum and I’ve been loving the Schwarzkopf Bonacure Oil lately. I’ve tried out a lot of serums but this one has really blown them all out of the water. It’s so nourishing and completely transforms brittle ends. It’s perfect on second day hair for adding gloss and shine if it’s looking a little lack-lustre.

What are your weekend beauty bag essentials? Have you tried any of these?

The Origins GinZing moisturizer is so lovely! I've tried a sample of it before but I haven't purchased the full size yet. Maybe once I use up my current moisturizers I'll pick up the Origins one. xx

I really want to try that Origins mask, it sounds so good! I mostly go 'naked' on the face in the weekends, so a quick cleanser is all I need in the evening 🙂

I just purchased the Drink Up Mask and I have yet to try it. I've heard such great things about it though!
Betsey has some really cute things. I purchased a small makeup bag (one you put in your purse) and a bigger one (maybe one you take on a weekend trip with your toothbrush and such), and I still have it! I'm so happy she made a comeback!

Looks like some great stuff-especially the MAC quad!
